On May 31, 2025, at Formula Drift USA Round 3 “SCORCHED” held at Orlando Speed World in Florida, #168 Hiroya Minowa, representing Jerry Yang Racing, made history by taking the overall win at just 15 years old — the youngest driver ever to do so in FD USA history.

  • Top 32: vs Dmitriy Brutskiy (ProSpec Champion)
  • Top 16: vs Conor Shanahan (European Champion)
  • Top 8: vs Fredric Aasbo (3-time FD Champion)
  • Top 4: vs Aurimas Bakchis (known for raw speed)
  • Final: vs Jhonnattan Castro (veteran from the Dominican Republic)

His intense chase battle against Aasbo left the crowd roaring, and in the Final, Hiroya sealed the win with flawless line, angle, and throttle control.
